When I got the call from Matt, I was ecstatic about the opportunity of potentially joining the Genies team. Below is an About Me, and a list of projects selected for the Lead Product Designer role.
I'm Jenn -- a digital product designer based in Miami. With a background in motion graphics and experience strategy, I blend both disciplines to create branded, data-informed, user focused experiences.
I have over 7+ years of experience working in digital design. With fashion being one of the most important aspects of the Metaverse, I believe my work with Calvin Klein, Chanel, Canada Goose, and Tory Burch, can help contribute to the success of Genies' user experience.
Most recently, I was at the infamous Fast Checkout, where I was the Design Lead on the Creators team. During my tenure, I built a product that enabled creators to earn commission with Fast.
Prior to that, I was a Design Lead at Publicis Sapient, where I managed the Calvin Klein and GameStop accounts. With Calvin Klein, I worked on the redesign of calvinklein.com and their first design system. I managed a team of two designers, and advised the client on the experience strategy (Cart, Checkout, Product Page, Product List Page).
My wide range of skills and projects (design systems, motion, experience strategy, management), is what makes me a unique candidate for this position.
I've worked at startups, agencies, in-house in a diverse set of environments. Matt had mentioned that Genies is currently using Metalab as a design partner. When I was at Canada Goose and Tory Burch, I helped with the transition from agency to in-house. I was the founding UX designer for both companies.
If there is one word that my peers can use to describe me, it's passionate. I truly love what I do, and am always looking for opportunities to innovate. Although Fast dissolved two months ago, I've been taking my time to find the right opportunity. Somewhere I can grow, a product that I believe in. I believe that Genies could be the right challenge!
